PointClickCare - How to Print Assessments from an iPad

1. In PCC navigate to Clinical → Reports

2. Filter the list and select Assessment Report from the list of reports

3. Complete the Report Options:

  1. Search for the resident by number or name
  2. Select the Magnifier Icon to pull up the list of available assessments to choose from

4. Check off the assessment you need to print

5. Select Update at the bottom of the list after you have made your selection

6. You will be returned to the Report Options screen. Select Run Report to process the report

7. The report will be displayed. Ensure this is the output you need to print.

If you are working from windows, print this you normally would. For iOS printing, continue on.

iPad Printing

If you need to print from an iOS device these are the steps to complete the process. Screens may differ as iOS versions update or due to from device form factor. The following was captured on iPhone (iOS 11.3.1), but the process should be the same on an iPad.

8. Select the Share Icon

9. The Share Menu will popup, you need to do the following:

  1. Swipe the choices to the left until you see the Print option
  2. Select Print

10. The Print Options will appear. Select “Select Printer

11. You will be asked to select a printer. Since you are doing this on a mobile device you will need to print to the nearest printer. Select that printer from the list.


Note: Not all printers are available for AirPrint and you may not have permissions to one that is listed. If you encounter a printer that you need to use which is not listed or you do not have permissions to use, please contact the IT Help Desk.

12. Once you select a printer you will be asked to login. Use your normal windows credentials here.

13. Once you login you will be returned to the “Print Options”. Optional: You can select “Options” to set the Page Range, Duplexing, and Paper Type settings

14. To print the document with the selections you have made select “Print

With AirPrint there is about a 15-30 second delay before the document will begin to print
