Shoretel - Send Direct Voicemail via Communicator

Sometime you may need to send a voice mail to an individual without calling them first. This can be done via the communicator software.
MSLCC IT will frequently request you use this method to provide recorded messages to use on workgroup or auto-attendant mail boxes.
1. Open Shoretel Communicator, go to the "Voice Mail" tab.
If the "Voice Mail" tab is not available. Go to Windows -> Voice Mail

2. Select "New Message"



If you are not happy with the recording you may repeat Step #5.
When you are satisfied with the recording press send to deliver the message.

1. Open Shoretel Communicator, go to the "Voice Mail" tab.

If the "Voice Mail" tab is not available. Go to Windows -> Voice Mail2. Select "New Message"
3. Select Recipient.
Enter the name or extension of the individual in the "To" field. The magic search box will pull up results for the name or number you enter. Be sure to select the name from the magic search box.4. Select Recording device.
Select the recording device to use. In most cases you will just need to make sure "Record via Telephone" is selected.5. Record your message.
- Press the record option.
- Your phone will ring.
- Once answered you will hear a beep.
- Record your message.
- Hang up when complete.
6. Preview and Send.
After you have recorded the message, you can listen back your recording with the play button.If you are not happy with the recording you may repeat Step #5.
When you are satisfied with the recording press send to deliver the message.
